Section 03 // The Tech

Two decades of
turning wrenches.

SNP Performance is built around owner and certified technician, Tyler Holley, an ASE Certified tech with more than 20 years of experience diagnosing and servicing all makes and models as well as building, installing and tuning performance engines, transmissions and suspension components. Every build, tune and repair is handled with the same rule: do it right, explain it straight, and hand back a car that runs better than it came in.

His goal for this company's future is to grow into not only a repair / speed shop, but to eventually be able to rent out fully stocked bays with tools, a lift and shop supplies to people that want to work on their own daily driver or project car and have access to professional shop equipment and specialty tools with certified techs there to lend a hand to anyone who needs it, and on the other side of the shop, have a chassis or hub dyno, an engine dyno room, a flow bench, scales to adjust vehicle corner weight and access to tuning / data logging software.

Eventually have a big enough shop to let car clubs and enthusiasts have car shows on the property and create a social hangout for them to talk cars and a safe place for the younger generation to meet, show off their cars and have fun in a controlled environment and learn more about the trade in a place that can help them turn their hobby into a career by offering apprenticeships. The end goal is to create a place for car people to network and pass on our knowledge and skills to the next generation in an effort to keep hot rodding alive.

More race tracks are closing down every year because of noise complaints, regulations and higher operating costs, leaving the next generation nowhere they can safely and legally race and enjoy this great pastime. Then people wonder why kids are doing crazy stuff in cars and taking over parking lots and intersections, doing burnouts on city streets. It's because all the places that provided a safe, controlled environment for people to have fun in their cars have been shut down, leaving them nowhere else to go.

We need to create more opportunities. Not more restrictions and regulations.
